Staploe pharmacy cycle to success

Well done to the team and patients of Staploe Pharmacy in Soham who recently organised a community bikathon which raised over £400.

Staff and members of the local community cycled over 350 miles in three days on an exercise bike in the pharmacy. All money raised was donated to the Liam Fairhurst Foundation.

Hazel McIntyre, Pharmacy Manager said: “We had a lot of fun completing this challenge and it was very rewarding to engage with patients on a different level.  We were able to encourage our local GPs, nurses, admin staff, support and social workers to join in as well as the patients which shows great community spirit but also demonstrates that a little exercise can go a long way!  We even roped in lots of local businesses to donate some amazing prizes to reward people for getting involved.
