Upcoming COPD learning events

An estimated three million people are affected by COPD in the UK. About 900,000 have been diagnosed with COPD and an estimated two million people have COPD, which remains undiagnosed. (Ref:Â Healthcare Commission. Clearing the air: A national study of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Healthcare Commission, 2006).
The latest focal point event from the CPPE is on COPD. This programme will help pharmacy teams to recognise the signs, symptoms and complications of COPD and improve their knowledge of the clinical management of COPD. In the context of the updated NICE guidance and quality standards, this event will aid pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to help deliver improved outcomes for patients.

Thursday 21st November 2013, Holiday Inn, Peterborough, PE3 6SG.
Both events run from 7.30pm to 9.00pm and refreshments are available beforehand.
