East Area LPC’s – Joint LPC working
The East Of England Partnership Strategy for Community Pharmacy has now been signed off by NHS England in partnership with Integrated Care Boards.
The 5-year rolling Strategy has been produced in collaboration with systems, Local Pharmaceutical Committees and other key stakeholders.
Joint working is the aim of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridge & Peterborough LPC’s. This occurs at all levels of operation and allows better representation of Community Pharmacy with STPs, Health Education England, NHS England and other regional and national organisations.
Increasingly, Officers from individual LPCs are working differently within federated workstreams to manage workload and produce better outcomes for contractors. LPCs will look at more formal federation in areas where activities can be scaled up to produce quality outcomes for contractors across a wider area, freeing up officer time to focus on ever changing priorities.
Communications is the first area where significant benefits have been achieved by closer working across LPC areas.
